Description

An exciting technical challenge with a thrilling reward, the Hexbug Vex Robotics Ant Construction Kit is a perfect introduction to simple science and complex construction. Piece together the 150 components and add the gears, motors and 'brain' to create a supercharged remote control robot.

  • VEX Robotics Ant by HEXBUG
  • Dual sensors from the antenna and tail control the motors after bumping into objects
  • To program the robotic spider, kids simply flip a series of switches on the robot's brain
  • Relays signals from the remote control and activating the motors and sensors
  • There are 64 different programming variations

Once the Ant is constructed, the fun and discovery continues. Use the wireless remote controller to steer the ant around, watching it change its speed and direction as it finds its way. The rolling mechanism creates a fascinating robotic movement to show off your impressive and intricate construction work.

The Hexbug Ant has plenty of other hi-tech tricks up its sleeve: Dual sensors from the antenna and tail control the motors after bumping into walls or objects; interlocking gears animate the ant by transferring energy from the motor through the endoskeleton and out to the wheels as they roll into motion; and the brain is the centralised computer that powers the ant, relaying signals from the remote control and activating the motors and sensors to bring the creature to life!
