From the World's longest running Gin Distillers comes a brand new gin, Berkeley Square Gin. Created by Joanne Moore, the first ever female distiller, the Berkeley Square is a complex and refined gin of exceptional quality.
Triple distillation takes place in a traditional copper pot still known as Still No. 8 creating a smooth and clean spirit. A 'bouquet garni', or botanicals wrapped in muslin, is then left to infuse in the spirit for 48 hours, allowing the botanical oils and aromas to infuse into the spirit.
Using botanicals including basil, lavender and hand-rubbed sage gives the gin a mineral and herbaceous character that works very well in an unusually clean and refined spirit. While normally we recommend gins to be paired with a tonic, the Berkeley square gin can be described as a sipping gin and works best straight or on the rocks.
